How’s your weekend?

It’s been a busy weekend for me. Yesterday we went to the mall to find Kyla’s costume for United Nations. Nursery will represent the country of Mexico. I found one in the mall but I don’t like the tops though the skirt is pretty nice. I went to different stores but can’t find one. So I have no choice but to visit the tailor shop. I will make a separate post about her costume after they used it.

After we went to the tailor shop we headed to Jollibee in SM City Lucena to get Kyla’s ticket for Trick or Treat. This is the second time that Kyla will join Trick or Treat in Jollibee. Anyway, early this morning we went to the beach. There is one nearby beach in our place. But we don’t go there to have some picnic or relaxation. We went there because we believe that swimming in the beach early in the morning can help the kids with their cough and colds problem. My brother, SIL and nephew of my SIL went there since Kyla wanted to go to the beach so we joined them. I think we just stayed for almost 1 hour. This is the second time that Kyla went on the beach (the first one was in Puerto Galera).

This afternoon, I made Mexico flag. It took hourssss just to finish one flag, lol. I had problem printing back to back of the flag. But after so long I made it, sigh.

We reviewed her Science subject. Their 2nd Quarterly examination will be on Tuesday so I hope she will get high scores again in all her subjects.

Till here … sorry for not updating my 5 blogs often. Kyla has so many activities for this month but I will be back on my normal routine before the end of October (that would be Kyla’s semester break). Thanks for dropping by.

Fruitful October

For two days Kyla has no classes because of typhoon Ramon. Earlier PAGASA said that the weather tomorrow will be better. So for sure the classes will resume tomorrow. Well, I hope so because we have so many things to do. We need to get her books in school because next Tuesday is their 2nd Quarterly Examination. Aside from busy tutoring her, I need to find her costume for the United Nations. Nursery level will wear Mexican costume. And Halloween is coming so Trick or treat will not be missed. So many things to do before the school break. I think they have almost 1 week vacation.

For the month of November I’m not sure about the line up of the school activity but one thing I’m sure Kyla will celebrate her 4th birthday. Well I have to stop here. I will talk about it next time. I need to sleep because its getting late already. Thanks for dropping by!

School Activity for next week

Finally after almost two months of waiting Kyla handed her first ever school ID. She always asking me about her ID and I told her that it will be given very very soon. So this is the time =). She was happy while showing it to me after their class.

We have a little review of her past lessons today. The other day we reviewed her Math lessons now we focused more about Science subject. I’m glad she’s always participating everytime we have a review. I hope by Tuesday (August 16) examination day everything would be all right. I believed on you Kyla … you can do it … Fighting heheh.

After their examination they will celebrate Filipiniana Culminating Activity on August 18. Each level from Nursery to High School will have presentation of the different Folk dances here in thePhilippines. I already bought her costume they will wear Kimona, Skirt and pair of abaca slippers. (I will make a separate post of her costume in my fashion blog). Anyway, I’m excited about this because this is the first time that I will be seeing her performing in school. This is also the first time she will dance in front of many people. I hope there would be no tantrums on that day.

School Activity for next week

Monday – regular classes from 8 am to 11 am
Tuesday – examination from 8 am to 10 am (first batch)
Wednesday – no classes (for first batch)
Thursday – Filipiniana Culminating Activity
Friday – I think its Quezon Day or Lucena Day ( so I’m still waiting for an announcement regarding this holiday)

First Quarter Assessment Test

Days passed so quickly Kyla was already in their last week of the first quarter in school. With this they will be having their First Quarterly Assessment Test. I thought they are exempted with this because they are just Nursery but I was wrong. So starting tomorrow we will be having review of their previous lessons. Maybe 1-2 hours review then play after.

Here are the pointers for review:

  • Distinguishing Likeness and Differences
  • Reading Readiness ( A – L)

  • Introducing Oneself
  • Girls and Boys
  • My School
  • School Personnel
  • Simple Greetings/Polite Expressions
  • Family Members
  • Rooms of the House
  • Feelings

  • Parts of the Face and its Uses
  • Parts of the Body  (Upper and Lower Extremeties)
  • Living and Non-Living Things
  • Healthy Foods

  • Colors
  • Shapes
  • Sizes and Measurements
  • Sensing Patterns

Wow … that’s loaded. So starting tomorrow till the date of the exam which is August 16-17 we will study every lesson. I believe on her she’s a quite person but when it comes to school performance she’s doing better. So good luck my little Kyla 🙂

Time flies …Third week.

Time flies only one day away and its July already. Also its Kyla’s third week in school I’m glad that the little girl is not crying in school anymore. Actually on her second week I can say that there are no more tears already. I asked her teacher about her performance and she said that Kyla is participating but she has a very low voice. She’s really a shy girl and I hope she will triumph over this thing. Anyway, in their third week in school they already taught about the primary colors. I saw some of Kyla’s work and her color is not bad. They also taught about the alphabet and learned up to the letter D. Good job Kyla, just enjoy your day to day in school.
